We will arrive to the San Dionisio Church, where it was raised as a shrine to worship the painting of the Virgin Our Lady of Altagracia, a devotion from the South of Spain and developed on the island during the first quarter of the 16th century.
Its solid construction has endured the inclemencies of the time, is supported by a sober nave of vaulted ceiling that supports five arches of elegant simplicity and robustness.
The dome forms a half orange, and a shell shelters the space occupied by the main altar. A star formed in stones, is the decoration of the dome; in the arches are embedded beautiful rosettes.
The main altar, in the center of which stands out the silver niche that holds the Holy Altarpiece, a work of art of the sixteenth century, beautifully executed, hand carved in mahogany. The altar table has an artistic silver front.
